We will accept returns on any unused product within 30 days of your order date without any reason needed.   All shipping costs (to and return) will be the responsibility of the customer unless we made an error on your order for example.   This includes any "to" shipping we have paid regardless if shipping was charged.

 

If you are curious about our products and want to experience them, please order your sample box prior to ordering any natural fillings in quantity as this will be more economical than paying the to + return shipping charges.

Kapok is extremely soft which makes it a perfect replacement for down in pillows and comforters.  It is a lightweight filling that is good for larger projects that need bulk without adding too much weight, like the base portion of an all natual bean bag chair.   

 

Kapok can always be re-fulffed if it packs down.

 

Working with kapok has a slight learning curve to avoid a room filled with fluff.  Kapok's only goal is to be airborne, so when working with kapok it is a good idea to cover your mouth and wear protective glasses to avoid small kapok fibers from being breathed in or getting on your eye which can be an irritation.

 

Working outside is always the easiest solution but here, we work with kapok by fluffing it inside the case we are filling with the opening as small as we can make it.  A fan on low, pointed away from the work table helps divert any fibers that escape away from the worker.

 

Linen fabric and kapok is an elegant combination you have to try!

It is best not to wash kapok as this will shorten the life of the fiber.  Instead, keep your kapok fiber in a zippered inner case and use an outer case over that.  

 

You can remove the kapok seasonally from your inner case and wash it. Doing this also gives you the opportunity to fluff any kapok fibers that have compressed or to add more kapok if your pillow has lost any loft.

 

Fluff your kapok inside the inner case and protect your eyes and lungs from any airbornes kapok fibers, which can be an irritant.  Wash your hands after handling kapok so you do not accidentally rub it into your eye.

 

Store any unused product in a dry place and out of direct sunlight.

We source only the best and most natural products for our store.  If it is not good enough for our children to sleep on, we will not sell it.  

 

Most of our products contain foraged elements from the wild which cannot be certified in any way as there is not a specific location that can be managed and inspected.

 

Kapok is naturally grown without chemical fertilizers or pesticides and does not require organic certification.
